Over The Rainbow Bridge
We are saddened by the sudden loss of such a great dog. Sheeba got out and ran away from us. She returned the next day during the afternoon it is a mutual conclusion she got into some kind of toxins. she did not survive. but she was not alone during her last breaths. Always loved. Forever missed!
Chelsey
Chelsey was a special dog in so many ways who touched many hearts. She came into the SGDR just after christmas begining of January of 2012. Her and her 4 puppies which Marley is in Melville and Joey who is down south. We still have 2 puppies remaining in the rescue who are special to us and her soul will live on in these 4 great pups. Chelsey was a happy, loveable, cuddly, heart warming dog. She had an accident at SGDR and ended up prolapsing and had gone into surgery here in Melville after being fixed and microchipped ready for her new home. She came back into the rescue and ended up prolapsing again and going back to the vet to be fixed up. This is where we found out other things have happened to her in the past from where she came from. Chelsey was then signed over to Bright Eyes Dog Rescue as SGDR didn't have the funds to proceed with a surgery that was extensive it would of costed our rescue anywhere from 2500-3500. Bright Eyes, New Hope and the Konan Kolition then raised the money to help get the surgery done. 6 days in the Vet in Saskatoon and she finally got in for surgery, the vet had found out that the repair was above and beyond to beable to save her and she has now passed over to Rainbow Bridge. We miss her very much and we will continue to fight for the animals in need of abuse and help save what we can and spread the word of abuse. BEDR and the Konan Kolition did a dog walk awareness for Chelsey on Feb 16, 2012 and had a great turn out. SGDR will be doing a walk for Chelsey on Feb 25, 2012 in Yorkton so I hope everyone is able to make it out for this event. Chelsey RIP <3 <3 we miss you deeply!!
